Q7. "Which group does the state of Michigan recognize as the true MMHCA? Has anyone at the state recognized Jim Blundo's "DBA Michigan LPCs" as the true MMHCA? If yes, who?"

Answer: The State of Michigan, unfortunately, takes a passive role on matters like this. They only respond to a court order after a lawsuit is ruled on by the courts. That can literally take years. It can help if counselors voice their disagreement with the unethical actions of the DBA Michigan LPCs. But ultimately, a court order or agreement between parties is what is required.
On LARA’s Corporate Division site you can see that the DBA Michigan LPCs group keeps re-submitting an annual report to LARA which might make it appear they are in charge of MMHCA. This is not true. Anyone, you and 5 of your neighbors could fill out the form, pay the $20 fee, and it automatically is approved and posted by the state. It is unethical and illegal if you know you are not in fact authorized to take such acts; DBA Michigan LPCs are not concerned about the law. Moreover, LARA requires a court order to prevent a party’s form from being posted.
