Question 20: "Is MCA involved in this process at all, given that they apparently went through something similar with Mr. Blundo prior to him starting MMHCA?"
8. Questions about Support and Moving Forward:
Answer: The facts are unclear, but it does appear that Mr. Blundo and Dr. Schaeffer did have a falling out with MCA many years ago which led them to taking over leadership of MMHCA. Dr. Schaeffer did describe Mr. Blundo to the board consultant in the following way, “Jim can be a bull in a china shop sometimes. I have had to get him out of trouble many times in the past.” This statement highlights a long-standing problem with Mr. Blundo’s leadership.
